Privacy statement
Last changed on 9 October 2026
In short: we keep what you put in _line so that you, the people you share with and your agents can use it. We count how _line is used, but we never read your maps to do so. We do not sell your data, show ads, or use tracking cookies. Your account and your maps are stored in the European Union. You can delete your account and everything you own at any time. We wrote all of this in plain words, because we would want to read it too.
Who we are
_line (you say it “underline”) is run by Baruchi Har-Lev (“we”, “us”), in Israel. The European Commission recognises Israel as protecting personal data to the EU's standard. For anything about your data, write to privacy@thinkunderline.com.
What we keep
- Your account: your email address, your name if you give it, and how you sign in. If you sign in with Google, Google tells us your email address and name, nothing more. If you set a password, only a scrambled form of it is kept, by our sign-in provider.
- What you put in _line: your projects and maps with their whole history, the notes, questions, answers and decisions added to them, who you invite and at what level, and the access log of each project.
- Your connected agents: which agent apps you connected, the access you gave each one, and when each was last used.
- Usage counts: on which days you used _line (in person or through an agent), and how many times each agent action was used. These are counts only: we never read what your maps say to make them.
- What you send us: feedback, requests for more room, and reports about public maps.
- Visits to this website: anonymous counts only, such as which pages were read, which site a visitor came from, and the kind of device and country. No cookies, and nothing that identifies you.
What we use it for
Only to run _line: to show your maps to you, to the people you share them with and to the agents you connect; to send the emails _line sends (sign-in links, invitations, replies to you); to keep _line safe and working; and to understand how it is used, so we can make it better.
In the GDPR's terms: we use your account and what you put in _line because you asked us to provide _line to you (a contract); we keep _line safe, count how it is used and count website visits because we have a legitimate interest in running it well, in ways that do not identify what you wrote; and if we ever send you news about _line, it will only be because you said yes, and you can say no again at any time.
We do not sell your data. We do not show ads. We do not train AI models on your maps, and we do not give your maps to anyone else to train on.
Your agents
_line itself does not run AI over your maps. The agents you connect (for example Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor) read and change maps for you, within the access you gave them. Once an agent has read a map, what its maker does with it is up to that maker's terms and privacy statement, not ours. If that matters for a map, check the agent's own settings (many let you turn off training on your conversations) before you connect it.
Sharing and public links
People you invite see the projects you invite them to. If you make a public link for a map, anyone who has the link can read that map, without signing in, until you switch the link off. Public maps ask search engines not to list them.
Who helps us run _line
These companies process data for us, only to provide their part of the service:
- Supabase: our database and sign-in.
- Vercel: hosting for the website and the app, and the anonymous counts of website visits.
- Resend: sending email.
- Cloudflare: a quick check, when you sign in, that a person (not a program) is asking.
- Google: if you choose to sign in with Google, and for our own email, when you write to us.
Your account and your maps are stored in the European Union, in Frankfurt, Germany, and the app runs there too. These companies are based in the United States, so some data can still reach them there (for example, the address an email is sent to). When it does, it is protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, under each company's data processing agreement with us. Data always travels over encrypted connections.
Cookies and browser storage
This website uses no cookies and no trackers; visits are only counted anonymously, as described above. The _line app keeps you signed in, and remembers small things such as which tours you have seen, in your browser's own storage. Nothing there is used for advertising or to follow you around the web.
How long we keep it
As long as your account exists. The whole history of each map is kept, even when your plan shows only part of it. When you delete your account (from your Account page, or by asking us), we delete it and the projects only you own straight away, and the copies in our backups are gone within 30 days. What you added to projects other people own (a note, an answer, a change to their map) is part of those maps' history, so it stays with them, without your name or account: there it shows as “Former member 1” (a label for that project only). The label replaces your name and account, not what you wrote: if something you wrote mentions your name, it stays as written.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it, by writing to privacy@thinkunderline.com. You can download a copy of your maps yourself, and delete your account, at any time from your Account page. You can disconnect any agent and switch off any public link yourself, at any time, in _line. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have the rights the GDPR gives you, including complaining to your data protection authority.
Children
_line is not meant for anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change this statement, we change the date at the top. If a change matters to how your data is used, we tell you by email first.
